We are very Happy. After putting up with a lack of power on our Mercruiser V8 for 4 years. After many attempts to fix it by myself and Marine Companies. After consuming over $10 000.00 in attempted repairs and assurances from other Queenstown Marine companies that the engine is OK. After we had given up and decided to make do with a substandard underpowered boat.
Enter Moore Marine. After a brief discussion Mike was into it. After one hour of extensive Tests Mike immediately zeroed in on the problem and started pulling down the engine. At 1/1/2 hours he had diagnosed the fault with 100% certainty and had a fix. At 2/1/2 hours boat was back together and running. Mike even insisted on staying longer for a lake test even though he was 100% sure it was fixed.
On the water the boat was incredibly different, smooth running, fast to get out of the water and immediate power at all RPMs like never before. The boat was NEVER this good and it was like we had an entirely different boat. Mike is a Mercruiser Genius and fixed what other professionals could not, but not only fixed it, but fixed it fast and without any fuss. Almost like he knew how too fix it from the start.
4 years of frustration ended in under 3 hours…we cannot effectively thank Mike enough and would have zero hesitation in recommending him to assist you with your boats maintenance and repairs. Based on our experience Mike, categorically is the best Marine Technician in the Queenstown Lakes area.
